The Medical Envelope is a common packaging item used primarily to send flat documents through the post office to another location. They are usually printed to match the medical office letterhead.
The standard size for mailing flat documents is 8.5” x 11”. Other sizes used by the medical business office are: #10 regular business envelope, and #9 or #6-3/4 return envelopes.
The paper is usually a 24# paper because it is less transparent and it accepts ink well for addressing. One of the more popular envelopes used by medical offices is the self sealing envelopes. Ask us about these – they are available in a number of different sizes for specialty uses.
